Nationwide Air Transport Service was a low fare infrequent passenger service which flew coast-to-coast and to Florida. NATS had large contracts flying British West Indian farm workers to and from the United States. Scheduled intrastate service in Michigan was via a subsidiary, Nationwide Airlines. NATS was bought by Resort Airlines in 1950.
